The Apple iPod Video is the fifth version of the Apple iPod series and consisted of two versions: the 30 and 60GB version. The Apple iPod Video was the first iPod in the series to use a video function and have video playback. The Apple iPod Video was the first iPod in the series to have a 2.5 inch screen. It was slimmer than its predeceasing fourth generation iPod and was fully redesigned. The Apple iPod Video was the first classic iPod in the series to be available in multiple colours (black and white). Its redesigned aesthetical qualities made it look sleeker and nicer for the user, returning to a flat front plate with a curved back and edges.

The Apple iPod Video enables the user to use video to full effect and see podcasts, movies, TV series, films, videos and a lot more media on Apple iPod Video’s 2.5 inch screen that is lighted with LED backlighting. An Apple iPod Video can store songs, video media and photos on its 30GB or 80GB hard-drive (60GB model was replaced by 80GB).

The main reason an Apple iPod Video is bought is because of its massive 30 or 80GB storage space and its ability to play videos as well as podcasts, audio books, Tv shows etc. ,which no other predecessor has shown before.
